Crash Space: Presentation by Mark Frauenfelder

Last night, I checked out a Los Angeles area hackerspace known as Crash Space.  They describe themselves as “a collection of hackers, programmers, builders, makers, artists and people who generally like to break things and see what new things we can build with the pieces”( Crash Space website).

Mark Fraunfelder, founder of BoingBoing, Editor-in-Chief of MAKE, ex-editor of Wired, and author of several books, talked about his latest book Made by Hand: Searching for Meaning in a Throwaway World A good chunk of the presentation focused on Urban Farming. It was a wonderful presentation and I look forward to reading the book.
